girls camp 2011

i stumbled across some pictures from girls camp i thought were really cute.

so i got home from girls camp on saturday. 

it was an interesting experience. 

to be honest i wanted to come home the whole time... but, it wasn't as bad as i thought it was going to be so i guess that's a plus.

so louisa has a nice camera and she finally put the pictures on my computer. here are a few of my favorites. 

we'll start with friday.

hunter spoke in church. we all went to listen. 

after church we had a little sunday outing with west and greg. 

went to the canyon. watched when a stranger calls. rode like gAnGsTaS. we are pretty fresh.

monday

lou, keat, & i went to kneader's for breakfast. sooo yummy.

we just chilled for a while.

took some power naps.

had a dance party.

tailor and dillon left for california :(. 

we hung out with dylan r., alvin, brooks, eli, jeremy, theron, kyearra, and marley.

Sunday was rather eventful. 

After getting home rather late from MORP I got to drive up to Alpine for my cousin Alex's homecoming!! 

It's crazy that all the missionaries in my family are HOME!

After the homecoming I got to go to my own ward to listen to a Elijah's farewell! 

CRAZYY that he's leaving!! 

I hung out with Ben for a while before having to drive up to PG to go to Ryder's blessing at Tiffani's. 

Eventful Sunday...? I think so. 

spring break = success.

Yes, spring break. 

A happy time for all. 

It was WARM for most of the week. 

Warm enough for sandals and tank tops.

Saturday. 

I sat around for a small part of the day. 

I went to lunch with my momma. 

Then I went and picked up Erica. 

We actually found the popcorn we were looking for. 

Thank goodness. 

Went to Jamba, looked up the secret menu.

Then we sat in a parking lot and rapped. 

We are soo dope. 

"You can't get glitter without no fame. Everybody's  checkin' out my Great Dane!!"

PRIME.

Then after  our rap session, we drove down to Studio 600.

It was hoppin'. 

Everyone was there. 

Mitch, Matt Gay, Zack Johnson, Trey, Jake, Jake, Kyle Howard, Brennen Adamson, Maddie, Tanyail, Marley, Kenna, Alex, Brooks Dax, Louisa, Gibson, Brett Tittle...the list could go on and on. 

SOO FUN! 

It was crazy and freaking hilarious. 

Everyone was going crazy and we just had a fun time. 

Mitchell boy, I respect that... HAHAHA.

After Studio, Erica, Matt, and I got in the jeep and drove to Jake Hasler's. 

Then to Matt's and then home.

Ya, studio was the shi.

Sunday. 

Carla and I went to Andres Lattanzio's mission farewell.

It was in a spanish ward. 

Weird. 

I had to wear a headset to be able to understand what they were saying.

The translator, struggled just a little in the first half but by Andres' talk, he had it.

He is going to Denver and I couldn't be more excited for him!

I love the Lattanzio family.

After the farewell Carla and I went to our own ward. 

Then after church I went and got Kina! 

We just hung out at my house until we met up with Mike, Ana, & Marley for a Fireside.

It's crazy that spring break is already over and I had to go back to school this morning. 

Luckly, there is only SIX weeks left of school. 

So crazy how fast my first year of high school flew by.

Today at school, it wasn't too bad. 

I had dance, math, and history. 

I hung out with Erica, Naomi, Zack Johnson, and Brett Tittle a lot during the day ;).

HAHAHA.

I can't wait for summer.

jesus wants me for a sunbeam.

Today Carla and I got to teach the Sunbeams.
There were only 3 of them and they were the CUTEST things ever.
They loved the apples and bananas and had a lot of stories to tell.
I love Sunbeams.

Last Sunday was the annual Young Women in Excellence. 

It went alright, never a favorite thing of mine. 

& that's about all I have to say about this event.

not so boring sundays.

Yesterday wasn't just a typical Sunday. I had quite a fun time actually. I went to good ol' church. I had a good time. I was pretty sad because one of my favorite leaders Sister Peel got released and it was her last Sunday in young women. She has to go in the nursery now. I think it would be so hard to have a calling you love so much and then just have to forget about it and move on to maybe something you will dislike...a lot, or if you're lucky, you get a good calling doing something fun, like young womens. Anyways.

After church I went up the canyon with Kimberly and Tara. It was like our new Sunday thing that we like to do. We went to the rock and like idiots jumped into the freezing cold Provo River. I don't know why we jump into it. The water is so cold. You get goose bumps up the ying yang and there is fish. What if I landed right on top of a fish and it started swimming all around me. Sick!! But hey, in the end it's all worth it. I love jumping off. It's like an adrenaline rush. I scream every time no matter what. I don't know why it just happens. It's not like it's even that high up. Really like 5 or 6 feet at the most but, it's just a fun adventure. Then after jumping into cold water we make our way up to Midway to go to the natural hot springs. K, so we go from freezing freezing FrEeZiNg cold water to really really ReAlLy hot water. It's so hot I don't even like to get in it most of the time. I know such a waste of a drive on my end right, but it's still fun. There are only about two cons to the hot pots.

#1 It stinks like sulfur sooo bad. It's kind of gross really. Some days it's worse than others. When we went today though...it wasn't even that bad. YAY! But my first time I went...YUCK. Maybe we just go there to much and I'm getting used to the smell.

and now con #2. It's too freaking hot for me to even get in half the time. I think I would have to be freezing to death to jump right into that thing.

After our little adventure I just went home. Took a much need bath to get the sulfur smell off of me and took a nap. Yes, I took a nap. I never take naps. It's weird to hear "Erika" and "nap" in the same sentence. GO ME.

HAPPY 24th!!

On the 24th I woke up and did flags with the ward. Afterwards was the annual ward breakfast. There was good food and it was fun to hang out with all the kids in the ward. I love the Sharon 3rd Ward.

GIRLS CAMP!

his past week I have been at girls camp & that's why I haven't been able to blog. I had a blast this year! Here are a few of the highlights.

1. My ward won the Sharon Stake cook off. GO US!
2. I was in the "Miss Shalom Pageant". I lost. ha
3. I went on the 4th year over night backpacking hike. It was very hard. I had a good time really.
4. Water front was really fun. It felt good to get wet.
5. I took a freezing cold shower. It was the best decision EVER!
6. The YCL's were super duper funny this year. Their skits always made me laugh.
7. Our camp theme was camp LUNA. Luna in Greek means moon. Luna also meant as out theme... Living United Never Alone.

I had a fabulous time at camp this year. I can't believe I only have 2 years left. Next year I'll be a YCL! yay!! No more slow bus for me! :)

CAMP MIA SHALOM!

Tomorrow at 6:30 AM I'm heading off the camp Mia Shalom with my amazing ward and awesome STAKE. I'm soo excited to head up the mountain & hang out with some of the girls I love more than anything!

I look forward to girls camp every year! It's crazy to think that I only have 2 or 3 years left of girls camp! Time as sure flown! I remember my first year at camp Shalom. It snowed and snowed and snowed! We all couldn't believe it! It was the funnest year of girls camp thus far.

My second year of girls camp wasn't at Shalom. It was at a really cool place called Reid Ranch. It was just our ward. There was hot showers, a swimming pool, and yummy yummy food that could be eaten at any time of the day. It would have to say it almost toped year one...It comes in a close second. My first two years of girls camp are probably going to always be the best out of all 6.

Last year I was a good ol' third year. This is the year my best friend Carla came into our ward. We went to Shalom. It was a really fun year!

Now lets see what year 4 has to bring!! :)

Today I went to Hunter's ward to listen to her talk about "Eternal Families". It was an amazing talk. It was well written and flowed fantastically. I loved it.

youth conference. 2010 "i am..."

youth conference this year was sooo much fun! it was fun to not just have the normal people from the ward (not that i don't love you) but to have the whole stake there. i had a lot of fun hanging out and partying with my friends.
