what a weekend.

so this weekend was quite eventful. had some fun times.
friday i went to school of course. had p.e., health, biology, and english. it was pretty much just a normal day. then after school mom and i went to jamba juice and cafe rio. let me just tell you something. these two things are my favorite EVER. orange dream machine from jamba and a pork salad from cafe rio. it pretty much makes my life complete.

after that i went home and got ready to head over to kina's so we could go get some neon shirts for the blacklight stomp at orem high. we went to gen-x. yup. can we say (and please don't be offended) ghetto, to the max. our t-shirts were $3.00 each. pretty sweet deals they got doing on in there. then we went to saver's with stanton so he could get some white pants for the stomp. he took forever and a day. he is pretty much a girl in a guy's body. just kidding. while he was changing we took this picture...

we were glad that there is nothing bad showing..end of story.
after saver's we went to the blacklight stomp. there wasn't too many people there but kina, tanyail, erica, and i sure know how to get our dance on. we were pretty much the party animals..maybe!
"please stop moshing. have fun but no moshing!"  too funny.

saturday i had dance from 10-2. then i came home and made up a combo to teach the dance 3 class to this song because holli (the dance teacher) is making me teach the class with another girl in the class named chantell. that should be an adventure. then, i took a shower and got ready to go play with some friends. kina, meg and some others came and picked me up. meg and i wanted to go to maddie james's birthday party and so they dropped us off at meg's. joslynn and branson came over and we partied until we went to the party.

 we then went to maddie's birthday party. she turned sixteen!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADELINE ROSE JAMES! 

the party was crazy fun!! i got to see all of my mv friends and we danced our little booties off. when it was hot inside misty, kylee, kyearra, and i would go outside and dance in the snow. our hair was soaking wet and we were freezing but we didn't care. it was FUN! we had a great time. 

weekend complete.

JOHN FREAKING MAYER!!

I went to the John Mayer concert on Tuesday. It was the greatest concert that I have ever been to. I am sooooooo happy I got to go. John Mayer is amazing live. He is a talker for sure. I swear he could be a life coach if he wanted to. He sang most of my favorite songs. The 2 songs I liked the most were "The Heart of Life" and his cover of "Don't Stop Believing" mixed with "Heartbreak Warfare." AMAZING!!

The opening act was Owl City. I only know a few of their songs but they he was pretty good live too. His back up singer had the coolest voice.

Let's just say Laci, Joslynn, and I had such a fun time!!

Cafe Rio.

I'm pretty much hooked on Cafe Rio. It is sooooooo good. Pork Salad is pretty much the bomb shiz. I found a recipe for it and I'll share it here. If you try it out tell me how it tastes!

Shredded pork
2 pounds pork

3 cans regular coke
1/4 c. brown sugar
dash garlic salt
1/4 c. water
1 can sliced green chilies
3/4 can enchilada sauce

1 c. brown sugar

Put the pork in a heavy duty ziploc bag to marinade. Add about a can and a half of coke and about 1/4 c. of brown sugar. Marinade for a few hours or overnight.

Drain marinade and put pork, 1/2 can of coke, water, and garlic salt in crock pot on high for about 3-4 hours (or until it shreds easily, but don't let it get TOO dry) or on low for 8 hours. Remove pork from crock pot and drain any liquid left in the pot. Shred pork.

In a food processor or blender, blend 1/2 can Coke, chilies, enchilada sauce and remaining brown sugar (about a cup, you can add a little more or less to taste..). If it looks too thick, add more Coke little by little.

Put shredded pork and sauce in crockpot and cook on low for 2 hours. That's it!

Cilantro dressing (optional)
1 1/3 c sour cream (can use light)
3/4 c mayo (can use light)
1 bunch cilantro
1 pkg Ranch Dressing Mix
4 T salsa verde
2 crushed garlic cloves
1/8 t Tabasco
juice from 1 lime

Put it all in the blender/Cuisinart and blend until smooth.

My friends and I have a a guilty pleasure. Some are more addicted than others, but we love it all the same....

Yes, we play it everyday. You get one or two episodes a day and it is ballin'. We all try to get "fast money" so we can send it to each other and get 5000 points for each other. The "top weekly" and the "all time top" have our names in the top spots. Let's just say we all love it.

a new favorite.

i love THIS song. it's amazing. i love the story behind it. after i saw this dance on so you think you can dance it just made the song that much better. ashlyn, hunter, & i have been singing this song pretty much all day.

the male dancer in this video is billy bell. he is amazing & i've adored him ever since i saw this solo of his. he is a genius with amazing to die for legs. one day i'll met billy. we will become best friends. ;) another dancer who is truly amazing is jakob karr. he is kind of like billy bell but a tad bit better in my opinion. this solo he did on so you think you can dance last season is pretty much AMAZING, spectacular, & full of greatness. when i meet him we will also be best friends. ;)

So I am totally copying my dear friend Louisa Mae Jarman, but that's alright.

my family.
I don't know what I would do with out my family. I love them soo much it isn't even funny. We fight a lot but I know we all love each other. Laci Louise Mouritsen. She is my sister. She is 25 (almost) & about 9 1/2 years older than me. She's such a great sister and I wouldn't ever ask for anyone other than her. My mother is great. She always takes me everywhere. Drives back and forth from PG to Orem like 20 times a day. Jeff and my dad Eric. They are both great. Even though my dad isn't around as much, right now he's in Alaska, he is still wonderful and I love him. Jeff is AWESOME. He is always supporting me in everything I do. Jeff's family, the Lindsays, are some of the coolest laid back people that I have ever met. I love that they find any reason to get together. If there is a reason, even if it is little or stupid, they get together at "The Hub". My mom's sister Chris. She is the greatest aunt I could ever ask for. She is so crafty. She is always making cute things for Laci and I. Her family, the Fackrells, are THE GREATEST FAMILY EVER. 3 of the 5 boys are married with families and awesome lives. I miss them all soo much! 3 of the 5 boys (and families) live out of state. 1 of them lives about 4 hours away in St. George and Jackson, we see him a lot. I just love the Fackrells. Now let me get to the most important people in my life. My grandma Louise June Burr and my grandpa Robert Charles Burr. There are not enough words to say how much I love and appreciate them. They are the greatest gift I could ever ask for. Some people just don't understand how great they are...but I sure know. I have the most wonderful family EVER!

I think I have some of the greatest friends ever. I didn't really start hanging out a lot until the end of 8th grade but I'm glad I did. Me and my friends do some crazy stuff. We just find any reason to have fun. We like to go to movies, hang out, and just party together. We don't really care what we are doing as long as we are together. On me "about me" to the left of this post I have a list of people that I'm sooooo glad I can call my best friends. They help me through thick and thin. It's really sad that half of my best friends are going to Mountain View but I am thankful that I just get to stay with the other half with I go to Orem High next year...next month. wow. I also love Melissa Kay Porter more than anything. I've known her since I was 3. She is and will always be there for me! She's my rock. I LOVE MY FRIENDS MORE THAN ANYTHING!!

I love dancing. It is one of the greatest things...EVER. I love being able to express myself through such an amazing art. I may complain about having to be at the studio for hours on end and having to do this and that, but really it's all for the better and it is making me a better dancer. I love dancing at the VIBE. The studios are great and the teachers and even better. I've made friends here that I'll probably have for a long time. Dancing has given me great opportunities to meet new people and try new things. I am soo thankful for my teachers and friends at VIBE.

I am the photographer of the group. Everyone hates it while I'm taking pictures but they all love it after when they have pictures of the day. Pictures express 1000 words. I love pictures.

I love music. I always have music playing in my room. I love knowing music that no one else knows. I get a lot of music from my dance teacher Alan Salazar. He pretty much has some of the greatest taste in music. All my friends always want me to take their iPods and put music on it for them because I have AWESOME music. Music just puts me in a different mood. There is always a song for every single occasion. When you're sad, happy, hanging out with friends, on the lake in a boat there is always something to make the mood just right and that's why I love music.
There are many other loves of mine but those are just my top 5 of the moment. :)
